I am well pleased with this item. You can truly pick a straight pin off of the wooden floor with this — it truly functions, I have completed it a lot of instances. I’m extremely rough on them and the plastic ones break occasionally (I try out to choose up objects that are a lot as well heavy). I lately bought two of them from Amazon as gifts. The cost at Amazon is less than one half of what I was having to pay at the hardware retailer. I have employed a metal one particular now for nearly a year with no signs of put on. This is a top quality item at a fantastic price. It is much better produced and simpler to use that most other grabbers. I am attempting to fix this by placing some duct tape on the jaws. The 32″ length is excellent for most applications. I have extremely limited walking and bending over capability so I use grabbers for most anything at all (newspapers, pens, paperclips, empty soda bottles, dead bugs, etc). My only complaint is it will NOT pick up one sheet of paper due to the jaw pads currently being too slick. The locking feature (lock the jaws shut) works significantly greater than other designs! I in addition like the capability to rotate the head 90 degrees.
Or if you have products found in the back of cabinets and you need to bring them up front for your hand to grab this device is very good. The gadget is only as excellent as the individual’s hand and arm strength. Regardless of what the producer says about the product, you are not able to choose up a 5 pound item. If you need to select up light objects it’s fantastic. There is not enough leverage to choose up products with slight weight on it. . Overall the device is ok. You can not select up anything at all that has some fat or is bulky. I would not recommend choosing up overhead objects. I’m currently eight months pregnant, so for me it’s a advantage when picking up light pet toys, person clothing, light towels for laundry, papers and so on
